Computer freezing during gameplay

I have recently built a computer, whenever I go into games, it will freeze and I will have to CTL ALT DEL to get it unfrozen. I've ran extensive tests on the RAM, its good. I've upgraded the PSU to a 700W, and it is still freezing during gameplay. Only other thing I can think of is that the 1050 ti isn't getting enough power because it is solely powered from the mobo and doesn't have a 6 or 8 pin to jump off the PSU..... Any thoughts or suggestions?

Mobo: Gigabyte G.1 Sniper B7
CPU: Intel i5 6500
RAM: 8gb HyperX Fury 2133
PSU: EVGA 700B
GPU: EVGA GTX 1050 ti SC
Windows 10

Ye it is either your PSU, MOBO or GPU. Most likely GPU as if the PSU somehow could not take it the PC would 'click' off to save the other components (all decent PSU's have this safety measure). Motherboard very unlikely but i have had a faulty PCIE slot in the past.

Do you have a spare GPU lying around somewhere?, doesn't matter how old it is.

If you do then give it a shot and see what happens.

If not call around to ask who has spare you could borrow for the day till you have solved your issue.

This is all mostly just trial and error, it's a pain but it rinses through everything till you find the culprit.
Hi

You have a decent build.

The best way i find is to use the pc in bare bones. Which means displaying using the CPU's IGPU (plug HDMI into the motherboard), using one stick of RAM and removing the GPU of course.

Run the PC to see what happens. See if the games run, framerate doesn't matter as we just want to see if stuff runs.

You did not specify if you had a SSD or a HDD or both. Could you please check your storages health by using Window's CHKDSK tool.

Have you made any changes recently program wise such as drivers/updates?

This should tick off a few factors.

Regards

Both HDD and SSD. OS and game on SSD, HDD for storage

Chkdsk didnt find any issues, took out the GPU and ran it and other than the stutters because of the chipset graphics it didnt freeze. I reset my drivers to original and tried, it froze. Then updated the drivers and tried, still froze.
