Hey,

After i had alot of issues producing music in FL Studio with my old computer, i bought and built me a new one about 6 months ago.
For those who might ask; FL Studio is a Digital Audio Workstation and the workload on the computer can be compared to playing a new video game with high-end requirements (without the need of first class graphics) or using adobe photoshop and or other editing\multimedia software.

My specifications are;

Intel i7-4771, 3.50 Ghz.
Corsair Dominator DDR3, 2x 4GB (8 GB)
NVidia GeForce GTX 660
Asus Sabertooth Z87 motherboard
Samsung SSD 840 Evo 120GB (here's my windows installation and alot of stuff i use in music production).
Seagate Barracuda 7200, 1.5TB SATA internal harddrive (about 3 year old harddrive where i also have lots of stuff i use to produce.).
Windows 7, 64bit SP1.
Don't remember, but i also bought a new powersupply. Don't remember the watts, but i remember thinking overkill here. In other words, i think it's atleast 1000W and a high-end model.

I also have a few things connected via USB;
Steinberg UR22 External Soundcard
Edirol PCR500 midi-controller
Akai MPD18 pad controller.

My issue;

After starting a new project and working with it for 2-5 hours, things begin to freeze more and more often. Even though i don't even use 10% of the workload my computer should handle without any problems. FL Studio completely freezes and often the sound continoues to play but i can't click on anything or do anything, and eventually the mouse pointer turns into windows loading thing and the sound stops. This freeze can last everything from 1-10 minutes and happens so often that any task becomes a nightmare. Sometimes the freeze never ends, and i have to ctrl-alt-del to end (might also take very long time). From then on out, the project is is impossible to work with and my only choice is to start a new one.

I had symptoms of these problems a few days after i built my computer, but it wasn't near close to how it is now. In other words the freezing and problems have just increased on a weekly basis for the past 6 months, just getting worse and worse.

What iv'e done so far to troubleshoot this:

* Ran memtest - and i got an error (a red line)!. But, the problem still persists after iv'e tried both memory sticks in solo.

* Ran a fully-automatic burn-in test from Geek Squad \ PC-Check. This is a CD that starts up with Bios and tests about every single part in my computer. I had to leave my computer on for two full days until it was finished, and it didn't find anything! everything passed!

* Tried running FL Studio with my internal soundcard and also disconnecting my external soundcard, my AKAI drumpad and my Edirol midi controller. Same problem.

* Tried updating drivers for chipset, graphics card and external soundcard.
* Tried changing my power-mangement to 100% on both minimum and maximum.
* Tried every single setting and option inside FL Studio.
* Tried disconnecting my D-Link wifi adapter.
* Tried basicly everything to increase performance of my computer (even though it's really not needed because my specifications should handle light projects in FL Studio without any problems)

* Tried running Latencymon, and i got the following error message,

"Your system appears to be having trouble handling real-time audio and other tasks.
You are likely to experience buffer underruns as drop outs, clicks or pops. One problem may be related to power management, disable CPU throttling settings in Control panel an Bios settings. Check for BIOS updates".

Iv'e googled this error message and read every single forum post and guides, and tried everything. Same problem.

I have not updated my BIOS because i simply do not believe it is the issue. Maybe i should? I'l have to flash first though, and i'm not comfortable doing it.

I have no idea what this might be, or if it's even a related problem;

My "Intel USB 3 host controller driver" is showing alot of "hard pagefaults". Iv'e tried installing new drivers. Same problem.

My "Nvidia Windows Kernel Mode Driver" and my "Intel USB 3 host controller driver" is showing high numbers in the latency test. more specifically below "highest execution (ms)".

Driver "csrss.exe" is showing high I/O reads on windows task manager.

I used to play alot of video games on the computer and without any problems. Games like Dota 2 and company of heroes 2 ran on full settings with 100 fps and no issues. This is simply making me crazy... how can i troubleshoot this? how do i pinpoint what's the problem?
