So recently I've run into a problem while just simply browsing the internet and I'll open a new tab and I notice its taking a long time to load. So I'll try to see if its my internet that's going out and I click the internet on the taskbar and nothing pops up. Then I try and minimize my window but it stops responding. So I try and click the start button and it wont pop up and basically everything is becoming unresponsive one-by-one.
Then lastly I'll try to hit CTRL-ALT-Delete and nothing happens so I right click the taskbar to bring up the Task Manager that way and then the whole taskbar becomes unresponsive. So I shut off my PC.

Oh and keep in mind in all this I can move my cursor so its not a full freeze.

Well recently when I would try CTRL-ALT-Delete after a bit it would turn my screen black then pop up a message saying:

"Failure to display security and shut down options
The logon process was unable to display security and logon options when CTRL+ALT+DELETE was pressed. If the operating system does not respond, press ESC or restart the computer by using the power switch."

Well I believe after I hit OK I would restart and I don't run into the problem for a few hours...Now it's starting to happen more and more frequently and I started noticing this only a few days ago. Before that I had no problems. The only thing I can think of is that its a problem with my SSD or something because just a few months ago in April I installed a Samsung 840 EVO 120GB SSD and I migrated windows from an HDD to an SSD and I fear that maybe I'm just now receiving problems from that, or maybe my SSD is running out of room or something is corrupted and messing up windows.

I don't know what to do. Please help I payed $1200 for this pc in January of 2014 and I can't have it mess up now!

Here's my build:
Intel Core i5-3570K 3.4GHz Quad-Core
Microsoft Windows 7 Professional SP1 OEM (64-bit)
ASRock Z77 Extreme4 ATX LGA1155 Motherboard
16GB Memory
Seagate Barracuda 2TB 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive (this is what I used to have windows on)
Samsung 840 EVO 120GB Solid State Drive (This is what I now have windows on)
EVGA GeForce GTX 660 2GB Video Card
Corsair CX 500W 80+ Bronze Certified Semi-Modular ATX Power Supply

run hdtune check the drives health. see if there any warning on the seagate drive. run seatools see if there any errors.
run malware bytes/hitman pro see if there any viruses. look in add/remove programs for any toolbar or hepler programs that may have been installed by drive by installer. use online free virus scan from one of the big anti virus vendors see if your clean. use msconfig and turn off uneeded programs that are loading in start up.

Ok so before I saw your answer It happened again but I noticed at the bottom when I clicked to open a new tab and it was not loading it said "Waiting for Cache" and so I looked that up and it says to delete my cache from chrome so I did. I then saw your answer but I only did 2 things because I want to see if the waiting for cache thing was the solution. But I ran hdtune and it said they were both ok and I ran hitman pro and it had a bunch of tracking cookies and then two things popped up as malicious but it deleted instantly so what ever those two items were they were taken care of and some conduit stuff, and 1 riskware thing. But I'm just gonna wait it out and see if it happens again then I will try some other stuff.

Hey none of this worked it happened again this morning. The cache thing I tried seemed to help a little bit as it took a long time for it to freeze again. But I decided to look more into the SSD instead of Google Chrome so
Here's some stuff that may help:

I don't know what a whole lot of this stuff means but I'm not completely stupid. I've been googling this issue for the past two days and everyone involves their SSD and I'm wondering if none of this helps, if migrating windows back to my HDD would be better
