Recently I changed my motherboard, smps and hdd and since then the pc is suffering from random freezing every 20-30mins. After that the computer has to be powered down before using it again. I checked the crash dump but its empty i.e there is no teport of the crash.
My specs are
Intel core 2 duo e8500
Gigabyte nvidia 730
2*2gb ddr2 ram
Enter mb-945 motherboard
Zebronics 450W SMPS
Western Digital 250gb sata hdd
A94 cpu fan

The psu, hdd and motherboard are brand new. I did a stress test on the ram and it's ok... While the Intel processor diagnostic tool, the processor failed in "brandstring" and "cpu frequency" tests. Is that what causing the problem?

EDIT: I tweaked around the startup services and bios and now the problem seems to happen only after 2-3 hours and there is crash report with id 7001

Ok....so an interesting thing happened. I exchanged my gpu with my friend's (Nvidia 210) and it is working like a charm... Now here's the interesting thing: he too was suffering from the same problem, albeit not frequent as mine, and he hasn't suffered any crash on my card. Similarly I too haven't suffered any crash on his card. Go figure.
