Wondering if any of you can help me with the troubleshooting steps.
Built a PC 2 years back with
AMD Phenom III, Asus M487 Mobo, Gskill Memory.
Recently the computer started freezing up after running for around 2 hours.
I believe it is related to some component overheating.
Any ideas as to how I would isolate which component is causing this?

Thanks

I would recommend first opening up the case while it's running and make sure all the fans are spinning and such, you might have a cooling fan going bad somewhere. run the hardware monitoring software (it should already be on windows just search for it in the start menu) and check all of your temperatures for anything abnormally high. is your computer in a room that gets particularly hot or has low air movement/poor air circulation? if so try moving it to a different room and seeing if the problem persists.
