Question Computer freezing while browsing despite having a 350Mbps connection

I am not sure where to post this, maybe you can recommend another forum.

I have a 350Mbps high speed fiber optic connection, but when I go to certain websites it is as if my connection is terrible, it can take 10 -20 seconds to click on different things, the computer locks up.

I have tested the speeds and nothing is wrong, I can download a 25GB game in about 9 minutes.

Is this a CPU, RAM, or hardware issue? Possibly a browser issue?

I have done virus scans and nothing seems wrong.

How can I troubleshoot this? Thanks for the help.

When posting a thread of troubleshooting nature, it's customary to include your full system's specs. Please list the specs to your build like so:
CPU:
CPU cooler:
Motherboard:
Ram:
SSD/HDD:
GPU:
PSU:
Chassis:
OS:
Monitor:
include the age of the PSU apart from it's make and model. BIOS version for your motherboard at this moment of time. In this instance please include all of your networking gear between your ISP and your keyboard/monitor.

Possibly a browser issue?
Have you tried working with another browser?

What would these sites be? Have you tried using a VPN for said sites?

This sounds like a DNS issue but it could also be some issue between your ISP and other ISP.

The default method is for your router to act as a DNS cache to the ISP DNS server. Both these tend to have strange issues sometime. Better to use one of the major DNS servers like 8.8.8.8 or 1.1.1.1.

If you go into the network setting and the IPv4 settings you can manually set the DNS. It is generally recommended to use encrypted DNS but you can try it without at first. While you are making changes in the network setting disable IPv6. IPv6 causes strange issue and you can have inconsistent performance when some locations are using IPv6 and other IPv4. Other than a very small number of sites in asia that only use IPv6 you don't need IPv6 support.

There is also a way to set the DNS in the browser. This is no longer needed since microsoft now supports encrypted DNS in the OS. Check that this option is not being used in the bowser, it should by default not be used.

What do you mean by "the computer locks up"? Is it only the browser that hangs or the the whole pc?
