After putting two old-ish computers together and getting it to work fine for two weeks I brought it with me to my friends house to hook it up and have it stop working. Notable things being:
Windows 8.1
Worked just fine no crashes for 2 weeks
BSOD shows DPC_Watchdog_Violation error
Had light bump on against fridge when bringing computer tower indoors
When first attempt to boot up it said something was wrong with OS and I told it to boot from last good state

If I had to guess I'd say that I probably broke my HDD when I bumped it?
Wanted help from here before I spent any $$$

Solution
A light bump may not be enough to damage a HDD... the expected type of damage would be Read/Write Head damage and the first sign would be HDD clicking noises from the data Head searching for data.

I'd suspect more of a lose HDD connection (power or data)... you can check that in the BIOS. If the OS HDD comes up in the BIOS post, or is included in the BIOS HDD list, it may be a disk sector or software issue (outdated driver), or possibly a bad HDD sector containing a HW driver. And if the HDD doesn't show in the Post or in the BIOS HDD list, >
1) check the HDD connections.
2) do a Disk check, from the Boot Advanced repair options > Command Prompt.. (instructions in the linked page).
3) Do a Automatic (Startup) Repair

Possible issues may not be related to a light bump, but computer issues can arise by coincidence from moving the PC case... sometimes even from handling it, disconnecting it, etc. so there's no telling what may have caused the issue or if it was an issue that was about to come up. Whatever caused it, it doesn't appear to be that bad.
