When I start my computer the monitor nor mouse and keyboard turn on, and the Dram LED flashes, but does not cease to flash even if i hit the MEMOK! button. If i take the GPU out, it will post, but i have no means to do anything on the computer. I have tried putting the ram in other slots, and using a single stick, but nothing has worked, When I reset the CMOS (the battery if i have the term correct) the system would run, but then crashed twice and ceased to start since. I'm not exactly sure what question I am asking, but where to go from here?
Motherboard: Asus M5A97 R2.0
CPU: AMD FX 4350 Unlocked Quad Core Processor 4.2 4 FD4350FRHKBOX, Black Edition
RAM: 2 4GB Ballistix Sport sticks at 1600 Mhz
GPU: GeForce 750ti
OS: 64-bit Windows 7
HDD: WD Blue 1TB SATA 6
PSU: EVGA 500 W1, 80+ WHITE 500W
Have put my harddrive into a friends computer with almost same exact build and got event viewer to show up. its says within the last 7 days i had 6 critical kernel power events (Event ID 41), 8 WMI events (Event ID 10), 1 HAL event (Event ID12), 2 SideBySide events (Event ID 35), 1 Dhcp-Client event (Event ID 1001), 1 SCM event (Event ID 7000) 19 with ID 7001, 1 with ID 7009, 6 with ID 7026, 6 DistributedCOM events (Event ID 10005, and 10 DistributedCOM events (Event ID 10010).
Just did a system restore to a point right before I had the problems with the computer, and plugged the Hard Drive back into my case, and the same problem is continuing. It was working fine subbed into my friend's computer, but not the modifications I made there did not solve the problem.
