Computer goes black without any blue screen of any sorts.

This has been an on and off problem, I thought it was the power supply at first so I got a new 750 watt one, got a new 960 gtx graphics card, all the fans are running. The only time this happens is when I play highly intensive games, this problem has persisted even before getting the new graphics cards. Is it a disk issue? I am lost is it possibly a dud CPU? I have an AMD FX-8320 eight core processor.

From my experience, it could be something that's unstable. Probably the graphics card but you've replaced it, but it can still be bad. It could be overheating, unstable components, just check whatever you can check.
