My computer perform strange for quite some time, about a month ago my computer reboot frequently, afterwards I have replace the Power box and solve the reboot problem. Now it is another nightmare, HANGUP - 10 min, 1 hour, or even 2 min will hang. Not sure what is the root cause.

My system is AMD 1.2G Athlon, 256MB ram, 40GHD, etc., no hardware or configuration change for long time, and I am using Win98.

Is it possible be the RAM problem?

If anyone know the reason why please let me know, thanks a lot.

temp is ok.. around 40 - 50 C, basically sometimes it hang when the system just start up the window..so I don't think it is overhead problem..also my Powser supply unit is a brand new one with 370W, I calculate and it should be enough...I suspect it is RAM, CPU or motherboard problem

Any idea?

Re-seat RAM, Gfx and PCI cards.

Can you get into safe mode, and if so, does it make any difference?
