A few days ago I sold my r9 390 and got a gtx 1080 ti. After upgrading, windows randomly freezes. It freezes for about 30 seconds and happens every few minutes. During the freezing, I can still move my cursor but nothing else works. Even if I boot into windows without opening any other programs it will still freeze. I have not overclocked my card and I KNOW all my other overclocks are stable. My PSU is a EVGA 750 g3 80+gold psu and I have the founders edition GTS 1080 ti. Even with the fan on all the way it still freezes. I have the latest drivers from nvidia.
