Computer Hangs on Reboot

I just got a MSI K7 Master (MS-6341) motherboard with a new 1GHz Athlon C. The computer hangs whenever it reboots, this includes Windows (2000) reesets, CRTL-ALT-DEL from DOS, and exiting the BIOS. The only reset the works is the button on the outside of the box. The symptoms are that the video feed goes out so the monitor goes into power save mode and, the CD light goes on for a few seconds, but the Power and HD lights stay on and nothing else happens. I have a 300 W ATX power supply. Has anyone seen anything like this before? Do you know what is the cause? Windows Shutdown works fine.

I just got an asus a7a266 and a 1.2 ghz thunderbird and I'm having the same problem. I've turned off all power saving features in the bios and in windows 98 and my monitor still goes into suspend mode when I reboot. The only way I can get it back on is to hit the reset button on the case. I hope someone knows how to fix this cause I sure don't.
