[SOLVED] Computer has 32gb of ram installed but can only use 16

I checked bios and it says I only have 16gb of memory but in task manager it says I have 32gb installed but only 16 is usable. I have 4 x 8gb sticks of Corsair vengeance pro 3000mhz ram and am using a msi x470 pro motherboard and a ryzen 5 second gen and windows 8.1
Does anyone know how to fix this?

What model motherboard is the max memory the motherboard manual says can be used. All of the sticks of ram are properly seated? Have you run any memory tests?

X470's good for 32Gb, no worries there.

Was that a single kit containing 4x8Gb sticks, or 2 kits of 2x8Gb.

Ryzens do not like 4x sticks. They can be trixy to get working right and even then may not get full usage.


Set the ram for 2133, bump up the SoC voltage 0.05v and the dram voltage to 1.36v.
