My computer which has an SSD as a boot drive and a 1TB HDD as storage just recently started being weird as it would stay forever at the Starting Windows screen and if I leave it for a while it'll load into a black screen with a cursor.

So today I unplugged the storage drive which was the 1TB and after that it booted into my home screen in no time with the SSD only, but no storage drive.

Does this mean my HDD is messed up basically?

Thanks for any help.

Ok I tried connecting it as an external drive using my USB to SATA adapter and it does not show up at all.

I'm guessing it can be confirmed the drive is dead now?

I had it for a while it's been about like 2 years or so and it came in a Cyberpower PC I bought and I continued to use it for this computer I'll just get a new one thanks

Wow you're right never thought of that, I just checked and it doesn't expire until 04-18-2015

Thanks
