So yesterday whilst playing a game my compute screen went a grey and white striped mess and wasn't recovering, when I restarted the system nothing would show in the screen and my peripherals would not light up.
From looking around online I believe this is a PSU issue as the mother board is giving me a single beep and the internal fans and lights are coming on.
I have tried the following:
reset the ram, CPU and GPU,
reset the cmos battery,
unplugged everything and plugged it back in.
unplugged the computer and held down the power button for 30 seconds
my system:
mobo: asus 990fx sabertooth r2.0
cpu: fx8150
psu: ax860i
gpu: hd7970 ghz edition
Anyone have any other suggestions for things to try, I would normally go out and test it with another psu but under the current conditions that's quite hard to do any help is appreciated.
