Computer having new troubles, need help

I am unsure as to what is causing it as it is just starting to happen with nothing new occurring in the comptuer otherwise in the last month and a half or so. While playing games, mostly Smite and Diablo 3, my computer cuts out to a brownish color usually screen, makes a buzzing like noise, and restarts. I am not sure why or what I can do. Any help would be appreciated.

I have an AMD FX 8320 Eight Core CPU, GeForce GTX 960 grapics card, Corsair 650 Power supply. Any other info I can give, just let me know.

two possibilities that come to mind are your graphics card and power supply. how old is your PSU? does your GPU have an overclock (whether yours or factory OC)?

The power supply was bought in about march or so this year, so not long ago. And for the GPU, I have no idea? I am not the most tech savvy and have never dealt with that. I have never set it to do anything.

yeah your GPU is overclocked by a good amount. you need to download MSI afterburner and lower your clocks.

basically i would set you base clock to 1050mhz which in turn should make your boost to 1178mhz approx. the ram clocks are fine and already at stock. test these settiing and see if it resolves your issue. if it does you can RMA your GPU or you can slowly inch your clock speeds up until the system is no longer stable as it is now. find the highest stable cock and you should be good. sadly i have had this issue time and again with stock overclocks though i am surprised that a gtx 970 has issues as i have the bigger bro gtx 980, it is the most overclock-able architecture in GPU history IMO. if none of this works its most likely a larger issue with your PSU, mobo or CPU.

Much thanks, I have afterburner already installed. How do I get along to doing all that you just said? Sorry, I am not the best with all this and I wanted to make sure I do it right.

I changed the core clock around and it says 1077 1140 as the first and third box under GPU Clock and Boost. Is that the right way to go around it?
