Hi, I see from reading around that a few others have experienced a similar issue- however, I am still not sure what the cause is or how to identify it.
The problem is my computer has problems starting up after it has been shut down. If I just restart the computer there seems no problem. It is when it is starting up afresh after a proper shutdown. I hear a motor turning over with what sound like revs to try and get things going – It does this repeatedly. Eventually, it kicks in and I get the start-up screens and away I go.
I guess the problem has been going on for a year but it has become dramatically worse and today took 40 minutes of revving up before it eventually started.
My computer was built for me by a reputable firm about 3 years ago. I went for 10% overclocking done by the company. Things seemed fine, except for a sound problem which I will not go into now until this problem starting up out of the blue about a year ago but now a major issue.
(I upgraded to Windows 10, post this problem first starting.)
