We need your budget. "Cool" does not give a budget. For more budget oriented systems, Ryzen is a good way to go. For normal streams, Intel is, but here Ryzen can play the part equally well.

Are you gaming? Workstation? Streaming? Linux system does not tell much.

Not sure dude, if you have built many, sure by now you have a personal preference. Some people like Intel, some like AMD. I hear AMD give u more bang for the buck, but I personally stick with Intel, stay with the tried&true no thinking. A Ryzen CPU is said to required W10, which would mess me up 'cuz I still on W7 and no plan to change. All personal dude.

My next project, another passive cooled, zero noise, super cool cube box from Broadcom, case alone usd$300, can't game on that puppy though.
