Computer Instantly Shuts Off Randomly and won't Reboot Unless PSU is Turned On and Off

Recently my computer has been shutting off randomly. The only way to get it back on is to turn the PSU on and off. It turns off mostly during labor intensive games but sometimes it will turn off while I play games that aren't labor intensive. I took a look inside and found that the PSU was hot to the touch and the air inside was also quite warm.

Any help would be great.

bulged caps in secondary side of your psu..
Just replace it with new quality of capacitor (rubycon, nichicon, etc)..of course with the help on an electro technician, if you not have any experience with electronics repair before

Thank you for the information. The PSU im currently using is the Corsair RM850 850w PSU and its fan is thermally controlled. I dont think that feature is working because while playing labor intensive games and hot to the touch its fan still doesnt run. Do you think this may have decreased its lifetime?

oh..
maybe, just maybe, defect units..
though rm class is not the best class , it should not give that problem.

Just try to RMA your psu..i bet that's still is in warranty..
