Hey all. Title says it all. I recently formatted my SSD to make sure it wasn't an issue with the OS. Last night, I was gaming and streaming using OBS and my computer kept hard locking.
System Specs:
CPU: R7 1700X overclocked to 4Ghz
GPU: EVGA 980ti FTW
Mobo: Aorus AX370 Gaming K7
RAM: 16GB G.Skill Trident Z RGB 3200 (running at 2133 I bought the intel version by mistake)
Cooler: Kraken X62 AIO
Now... I noticed that the issue specifically happens when I'm streaming. I monitored my temps using CAM and was under 66C. However, I was maxing out the CPU. I've maxed other CPUs without any issue, so I didn't think anything of it. I changed the CPU Usage Preset from fast back to veryfast and my computer stopped locking up.
This is not normal behavior, or at least, not that I've ever seen. Am I literally overloading the card and that's what's causing the hard lock? Do I have a faulty CPU? Is it possible that the RAM or Motherboard are the culprits? I can post screenshots of everything I'm using and am happy to provide more information.
Thanks in advance!
