Hello, this is Mo.
I also have a computer i made a few months back, it has been perfect to me. It's for gaming. it up until just a few days ago. It has been doing this really weird thing that i have never seen before. If one were to look at it they would say it is just rebooting. But what happens is that the signal from the monitor to the computer just stops. The computer continues to run, the fans spin, and the motherboard lights up etc etc. But no signal to the monitor goes. Once in a while i see the splash screen come up. But that is only for a split second and it is completely random. I have to reboot the system to get it working properly again.
The temperatures are fine: the motherboard idles on 100*F, CPU on idle is 100*F, HDD is 90*F, GPU is 100*F. These are normal temperatures right? It is by a window and the ceiling fan is on. Its not hot at all it is a rather splendid cool morning.
I use CCleaner from Piriform to clean the registry and clean my system (the free version) the job i work at uses this program to clean their computers and i have used it to clean my families PCs.
This happens at complete random and i do not do anything to activate it for as much as i know. It does not happen with my brother and he uses Windows 7. I am running Windows 8.1
And these are my SPECS:
i5-4440
MSI GTX 970 (cheapest one with the corny afterburner sticker on it)
GA-Z97-HD3 (gigabyte motherboard)
EVGA PSU 600B (this PSU was DOA when i first bought it, i do not know if they repaired it or sent me a new one as i cross-shipped it from Microcenter)
The Stock intel cooler and 1 140mm fan in the back.
Can someone tell me what this is and how i can fix it? I will upgrade to windows 10 immediately and hopefully that will get rid of the problem.
