Computer isnt recognizing Mic

Alright so I got a new computer and downloaded vent to talk with my buddies. At first it was working well for the first couple days. I started trying to stream a game that I was playing by using xsplit and once I hit broadcast the computer no longer recognized the mic. Im not too sure what happened and I also checked the control panel...lemme know if you know how to fix this. Thanks!

Since this is a new computer im guessing the drivers are already updated?

When you checked the control panel did the mic still say it was there or was it missing completely?
Also is your mic still working in other program and its just not working in xsplit?

When I plug in the mic it doesnt detect anything in the control panel and it doesnt work at all now on my desktop but works fine on my laptop
