I recently installed Office 2003 on my HP Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition
computer. In addition to purchasing this computer, I also bought and hooked
up a HP PSC 2400 Photosmart Series All-In-One printer.

Ever since I installed Office 2003 when I start up my computer or go into
various applications, the system keeps attempting to Install the All-In-One
series. The system displays the below message...
1. Checking System
2. Preparing to install
3. Installing
4. Configuring your product

It appears that it keeps having problems with step number 4. The system
attempts to copy and move folders, however, must be unable to complete
whatever it is doing because this is not being resolved.

I don't know what to do to eliminate this never ending 'Installing
All-In-One Series' message that I am receiving.

Can anyone help me with this?

Please advise and thank you in advance,
Tina

I don't have a solution, but I seemingly do have the exactly same problem.

On an Acer laptop running Windows XP Home Edition I have earlier installed one HP psc 1300 combined printer-scanner-copier (something-jet, I don't have the printer or its documentation here now). I had the same or similar problem then, and somehow my husband managed to make it disappear, possibly when he connected the printer over our WLAN instead of with USB.

However, now I have a new HP Color LaserJet CM1312 MFP, installed on the same machine (to use USB), and presto! The exactly above described problem resurrected. I have not uninstalled the other printer, as I may well need to use it, too, at some point.

The "Installing All-In-One Series" message is irritating, of course, and something about the process(es) seems to mess with especially Firefox, which now has started to often go into the "Not responding" state.

Does anyone have a solution? Please DO post it if you do!

Friendly regards, Ronja
