Computer keeps crashing/freeezing no matter what i do

My computer crashes and freezes all the time. it is only a few weeks old and no matter how many times i reinstall win 7 it wont stop. When i play a game it will crash about 10 minuets into playing, sometimes it will just freeze the game or the entire computer other times it will bluescreen. I have tried to upgrade to win 10 but it just gives me an error when i try to install.
M Specs
AMD FX-8350, Asus turbo geforce 1070, 16 gigs of DDR3 1866 corsar ram.
Board-Asus M5A97 R2.0
1T HHD, 128Gb SSD

If this happens even after a clean install of the OS, it probably isn't software related. More likely hardware. First thing I'd check is the RAM. Check them one stick at a time in the 1st blue slot by running http://www.memtest86.com/
Let it run for at least one full pass on each stick individually.
