[SOLVED] Computer keeps crashing

Howdy! My computer keeps on crashing on random occasions. When it does, a bunch of random different colored lines pop up, and I can’t type or click on anything. Also when it crashes, it doesn’t usually emit a sound (when it does, it’s a low pitched buzz). I replaced the cpu, and it still does this. I’m thinking it’s the power supply or the motherboard, but before I go and buy anything, I need some more help. I can’t find anything in Event Viewer that could indicate why, or how it crashed.

I bought this used at a yard sale, and here are the specs:

Intel Pentium G480
4GB ddr3 ram
Msi h61m-p23 (b3)
Cooler master rs-500-pcar-a3
500GB Seagate Barracuda 7200RPM

Thank you so much!

how old is the hdd?

Are you monitoring your CPU temperatures (I assume that you only used a small blob of thermal paste).

Can you run memtest86 to see if memory is ok.

Unless this is a labour of love, I would not invest any more money on this system.
You are better off putting it into a new system
