Hi guys, I am experiencing a very peculiar issue

Whenever I load my windows 7 64-bit computer, it will freeze after a time and become unresponsive to any and all software changes. I cannot move the mouse, and the HDD led on the case is a solid light. It does not unfreeze. the windows 7 64-bit professional key is genuine. On the screen, there are a few white pixels (10-20) that appear when the freeze occurs.

If you guys have any tips, that'd be just great

What graphics card have you got?
Have you run HDD-checking software? Try HDD Regenerator.

Have you checked Event Viewer under Windows to see if there's anything listed related to these freezes?

I doubt you have installed the wrong driver. Sometimes there could be incompatibilities with the antivirus software - what antivirus software are you using? Have you tried disabling everything on the start-up list from MSConfig?
Have you tried allowing windows to use its own drivers and get updated ones through Windows Update?
What is your motherboard make and model?

@ op.
unlikley...
go into bios and load optomized defaults.
find the hpet option and enable it (also called high precision event timer). its normally in the ahci or advanced motherboard options.
set peg1 as your gpu and check the drive boot order to make sure your booting off the rite drive.
save and quit bios and reboot.
now use the windows boot menu to select safe mode.(often f12 or f8 at the splash screen.)
if windows boots you can then chance a msconfig boot.
got to the run bar and type msconfig.exe
when it opens slect selective startup and disable 2 of the 3 options and reboot.
if windows manages to reboot normaly then run it again and turn on another option in msconfig.
either way on the next boot you will find out where the issue lies.
if it still doesnt boot at the first msconfig reboot then boot safe mode again and this time delete your drivers for the motherboard reboot and windows may automatically install fresh working 1s.

I have a sapphire r9 280 dual-x, I have not tried an HDD checker, In event viewer it says "Windows detected your registry file is still in use by other applications and services" and there was an error that said something about a filter and not being able to push events through it

The only thing I would check after seeing your motherboard is the AHCI drivers from the website.
AMD SATA AHCI drivers:
http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=5194#dl

Try my previous suggestions and keep us updated.

Try Bluescreenview
Open it, hit the refresh button and check the most recent dump file, then look on the inferior side of the window to see what driver could've caused the system to come to a halt. The name of the driver would also be listed to the right in the upper part of the window under the column "Caused By Driver".

Hmmmmm, interesting, I was waiting for AMD Catalyst to install in order to install the AHCI driver, and It does not seem to be freezing anymore, I did disable the USB3 driver though. I didn't do any of the things you posted before though, I was still trying my own methods to fix this problem
