Hi all. I'm having issues with my PC freezing on me. Any help resolving this would be highly appreciated.

My build:
CPU = Intel I7-5820K
CPU Cooler = Corsair H100i with Noctua NF-F12 fans
Mobo = MSI SLI Plus
RAM = Corsair CMK16GX4M2A2400C14
GPU = Palit GTX 960 2GB
HDD = Seagate BarraCuda 1TB
Optical = 2x LG WH14NS40
PSU = Be Quiet! L8-730W

When it happens:
It seems I can go weeks if not months with no isues, then out of nowhere I get freezing. I most often see this happen if I'm gaming, but I've also seen it happen streaming to the chromecast, and in one case watching a video file.

What happens:
Computer freezes
No audio through monitor or headphones
No Blue Screen
No odd sounds coming from PC

Things I've tried:
Trying to repeate a freeze, but no luck. It can be fine the second time I do it.
Mem Test came back fine.
My HDD past S.M.A.R.T and doesn't make any weird noises despite being a few years old.
CPU seemed to be fine under a stress test.
Trying to diagnose the issue with Event Viewer (no luck).
All drivers are up to date.
Checking CPU and GPU temps, but it's rare they go above 60c.

Hi amdrx480
Nope, none. The only thing I've gotten from MSI is a BIOS update and a few drivers, no utilities.

Just thought I'd give an update.

My PC just froze again, hasn't happened sinse opening this thread. It happened pretty much as soon as I logged on and got into the world of ESO (Elder Scrolls Online). During the restart I noticed it did take a bit longer for Windows to boot and everything to appear on the desktop. It usually takes a matter of seconds, a minute at most. This time however it took 4 minutes, approximately 4x longer.

Sorry for the late reply. I don't have another PSU on hand that can deliver the watts required for the computer. What I have done however is get it tested. Here's the results:
-12v = 11.7
+12V2 = 12.0
5VSB = 4.9
PG = 280ms
+5V = 5.0
+12V1 = 12.0
+3.3V = 3.3

Overall I believe those are decent numbers for a working as intended PSU.

Another Update:

The freezing happened again. This time it was while I was working in Adobe Premier.

I also accidentally turned the monitor off when I noticed the freezing (damn touch sensitive controls). When I turned the monitor back on it came up with a "no signal" message. So I'm wondering on the likelihood of the graphics card being the issue? My monitor is connected to the card directly, via display port.

I don't really want to keep drudging up this post, so after this the only thing I'll tack on will be the solution (if I find it).
Just thought I'd now add that the freeze occurred again. This time it happened while watching a YT video in a portable version of FireFox, a download just finished in the background, and a VPN connection was active. When I restarted the computer it seemed I had issues with the internet, Windows wouldn't detect any problems, but I had no internet access. Apparently the computer restarted without disconnecting from the VPN, and I had to reconnect to the server before internet came back. Don't know if that last part was useful, but still I though it was worth adding :)
