computer keeps freezing

Ive been trying to download gears 4 off the window store. I recently got an SSD and put my OS on it so i had to redownload all my stuff. When i get about 54 gigs into the massive 84 gig download my computer starts to lag and then eventually becomes unresponsive. I dont know what could be causing it

Msi h97 mobo
8 gigs ddr 3 Ram
2 Tb western digital hard drive
