Hello, I have been experiencing a weird problem with my computer. (see below for PC components list) When I am playing games, specifically WOW and now Destiny 2, my computer will turn off and then back on immediately. It does this without warning and without a clear reason. It has been going on for months now. The time it takes for this to happen varies some. I can only play Destiny for about 10 minutes before a power cycle. It was the same for WOW, but after lowering my settings to near minimum it happens maybe every 4 hours.

To try and fix with I cleaned my PC of all dust, and check all the fans up make sure the were all running. I also used hwmonitor to check out the temps. I think everything is fine; the idle temps are where there need to be and there is a slight increase when the game is active, but no where near concerning levels. Do to the power cycling happening randomly and only when I am play a game I can't see of there is a jump in temp right before the crash. (Hwmonitor text below). Do to my PC working perfectly for everything else I figured it must be a software glitch and did a Clean install yesterday. Unfortunately the problem still persists. (I am a little unsure it was a full clean install though) in the past when installing windows 7 it took a while to install then needed to have all the drivers downloaded to work; total of like 2 hours of set up. This time due to Microsoft’s removal of the product key for windows 10 I contacted them to make sure I understood how to activate my old copy of windows 7 that I originally bought with my PC as windows 10. The helper dude went ahead and remoted into my PC and downloaded a windows ISO onto the stick drive for me. I then reformatted my 3 hard drives and installed windows onto my main ssd from the stick drive. Unlike in the past it worked as a normal computer would right off the bat. Not sure if this is the standard with windows 10 or my drivers still remained but I am not sure if I should do another clean install or not.

Basically I have no Idea what is wrong or how to fix it. I don't have any backup parts so I can't systematically replace hardware to find it that way.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you, Ben

Solution
Kernal power, would leave to believe PSU. Also the CX750m is not a very good power supply. I would recommend changing it to an Evga B2/G2/G3 or a Seasonic PSU.
