Computer keeps restarting

Hi all.
i am currently bulding a new coputer so, i got this graphics card, pcs++ readon hd5870 powercolor.
so i dont have all my parts yet, and because of that i tested graphics card on my old computer.
once i connected it, i turned on pc and it went as far as windows logo and than restart, it does it forever, why is that ?
is that gpu fault ?

test computer has
4gb ram
motherboard: G31TM-P35(MS-7529)
500w psu
intel core 2 quad Q6600

Hi, Does it work if booting in safe mode?

yeah it did work in safe mode, is there something i need to do that it could work on normal mode ?

While in safe mode, try uninstalling the video driver of the old card.

ok i did uninstall old cards drivers and it works on normal mode now.
