Computer keeps restarting

Hello. Today I opened my computer and it got stuck so I had to hard reset it. Then it showed me a message of scaning and repairing the hdd. After that it reopened and when it goes to the windows start icon it just reboots repeatedly. Tried fail safe mode. Didnt work. Any ideas? I run a Windows 8 desktop.

See if running start up repair would help.
If it doesn't, then you can take the HDD out and attach it to another computer as a secondary one. Then, you can access it, back up all the data that you need and see what is wrong with the drive.
