Ever since I installed windows 10 my computer turns itself off every night. When I wake up in the morning, it is off and I have to press the button and sign in to get it going again.

I hate it, how can I fix this problem?

Hello,

You may try to set the Power Options via control panel:
Start button > Type in "control panel"> System and Security > Power Options

On the Power Options control panel you can also create a second power plan configured this way. In Windows 10, three plans are available:

- Balanced (sleeps in 30 minutes),
- Power saver (15 min) and
- High performance (Never sleep).

Two are always visible, but the third one is often hidden. The third one can be made visible by clicking "Show additional plans". To prevent your PC from sleeping or shutting down, just select the "High performance" plan.

You can also just edit your current power plan:

- Go to the Power Options control panel
- Click on "Change plan settings"
- You may choose from the drop down menu of "Turn off display" to " Never"
- Click on "Change advanced power settings ". Look for "Sleep" > "Hibernate after" set to "Never"
- Click on "Apply" and "ok".

Hey thanks so much! I did not even know this answer was here until today when I had asked another question, or else I'd of said thanks way before now. I think it probably is the hidden setting that was causing the problem and so I just fixed that and I will see soon by tomorrow if it solved it!
