Computer Lags on GTA V and DayZ

Greetings,

I recently built a beast of a computer(specs are below). Recently i have been experiencing lots of lag spikes and jittery gameplay and it's starting to make me pretty angry. On Both GTA V and DayZ it is the exact same thing. It freezes for random periods of time and then unfreezes and freezes again. Sometimes it does it and sometimes it doesn't. I'm not overclocking and I'm using an aftermarket CPU cooler. I have reinstalled every video driver multiple times, reinstalled games, etc. I'm just stuck and scared because i spent a lot of money on this PC.

Specs

i7 4790k(Not overclocked)
MSI GTX 1070 Gaming X 8G
16gb Corsair Vengeance Pro(2x8)
2Tb Western Digital Caviar Green drive
Corsair RM650i PSU


If you have any clue as to what is going on with my PC please tell me. I think it might have to do with thermal temp, but when i check it in my Temp Program they temps look fine so idk if it is or not.

definitely check if your graphics drivers have been installed correctly or if they need an update. maybe also check if your graphics card is inserted in all the way. one more thing is that the refresh rate of your monitor and the amount of fps you are pumping out could be conflicting eachother. if you have a 60hz monitor, turn on v sync as not only will it cap your games at 60 fps but you will also experience smooth gameplay. same applies to a 144 hz monior. if all these dont work then i recommend you contacting a professional as im pulling these solutions out of my head. hope this helped
