Hello,
I am presently using a 17" CRT monitor and would like to apgrade to 23" LCD.
I use AutoCad on a constant basis. No Gaming.
I have been advised to go for a minimum of 1920 x 1200 resolution monitor.
Would welcome your comments.

What is your budget?

My recommendation is the Planar PX2611w. Excellent monitor that can produce accurate colors (once properly calibrated). Good for everything; games, professional graphics work, movies. However, it is priced at nearly $800 shipped.

**Edit**

However... you want a 23" monitor... not sure of any that can do 1920 x 1200. You'll need to step up to a 24" monitor.

What are your expectations? You need to realize that CRT and LCD monitors are very different and you must make some sacrifices when getting a LCD monitor.
