Computer lock up caused by possible SSD

I've been recently having this issue with my computer where it will lock up for around 10-20 seconds i can still move my mouse but nothing responds, my event viewer logs Log Name: Application

In addition, 0 other I/O requests to this file have also taken an abnormally long time to be serviced since the last message regarding this problem was posted 0 seconds ago. This problem is likely due to faulty hardware. Please contact your hardware vendor for further assistance diagnosing the problem.

Up until recently this would only happen once or twice a day but now its started to happen so much that its making my whole computer unusable, i suspect it maybe my SSD which might be defected, i'm not sure anyone have any ideas how to fix this?

Hi, I'm not sure if this will help but its worth a shot. Read the answers provided on this page:

I would reboot into safe mode and do a full virus scan.

If that doesn't work, try a System File Check.

If that doesn't help, try a Clean Boot and see if you can track down what is causing the problem. This helped one of the people having this problem on the first link above.

If none of the above helps, write back and maybe someone else can help. Provide more info about what all you have tried...
