First off, Hey my names donny im new here :)

Now to my problem, So i recently got my gaming computer fixed, New mobo, CPU, PSU, HDD, My problem is this, When i am playing world of warcraft my computer will lock up, Now im a pretty... computer smart person, Ive been putting my own computers together for about 2 years now, So far to troubleshoot my lockups ive done this,

Ran a RAM check, It checked out, Said there were no problems, Ive ran a disk check and fixed all my errors, Ive re installed my video card drivers,

Had lockups on windows 7 64 bit, So i completley re installed my OS This time going to windows vista 32 bit, Both clean installs no problems but i figured id check it out anyway, Still having lockups when running WoW

Im honestly at a complete loss for why i am having these lockups... Somtimes i have to restart my computer but other times the freeze will come back to running normal but than freezes again

I dont have these lockups when im not running WoW and ive already completely re-installed WoW twice...The only thing i can think of is a hardware issue but i cant find the problem =/ Could it be that my CPU is overheating and freezing because i noticed when the lockups happend my CPU got louder

and right now running a skype call and an internet page my CPU is at
Core0 - 28 c 27c and 34 c
core1 - 28c 27c and 34c
core2 - 28 27 and 34
Core2 - 28c 27 and 33

My video card when running WoW is at 60c when i get a lockup

and last but not least my CPU usage on WoW is jumpy between 20-50%
and my RAM usage is around 60%

I have no idea why im having lockups and its BUGGING the HELL out of me, Please help?

Hello and welcome,

we would need your full hardware specs, including the make and model of the PSU.

also, have you checked your temperatures on the CPU while running wow? skype call + webpage is not a significant load...

what did you check your ram with? try memtest86 for at least a few passes (2+)

have you updated your chipset drivers? network card?

when your PC locks up is it a hard freeze or can you tab out of wow window? have you checked event viewer for errors?

CPU is a brand new, AMD Athlon(tm) II x4 3.1 Ghz

Ram is, 4g stick of G.Skill Ripjaw DRR3 1333

GPU is ATI Radeon HD 4850

And my GPU drivers are fully up to date.

PSU is, http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817170019

Motherboard is a, http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813138293

CPU runs at the same temp (Exept like...4-8 degrees higher not much, )

I checked my RAM with the windows RAM test thing,

Um when my computer locks up, ON windows 7 it used to do a hard freeze, On windows vista it freezes but than comes back freezes comes back and as soon as i close WoW it stops the freezing all together and my computer runs fast and normal

And to edit further it runs GREAT on WoW, like 60 frames on max graphics...Nothing that would make it seem like my computer is having trouble running it, My video card quad core and RAM are more than enough anyway
