Computer will randomly hard crash when playing specific games (e.g. Divinity, Grim Dawn, Satellite Reign, etc.). This is the only time it crashes as well. It can idle for hours, browse, watch videos, etc. without a problem. On more graphically intensive games like Witcher 3, GTA V, Overwatch, and Squad I haven't had an issue...so far. I upgraded to windows 10 about 2 months ago and this problem began approximately 2-3 weeks ago. Some days I can play with no problems at all, and other days it freezes at random times (sometimes 3+ hours and other times after a reset it will crash in an hour), but frequently enough to be annoying. Everything is up to date driver wise. Temperatures (Celsius) for GPU idle are around 39/40 and 55-70 depending on game. CPU idles at 33 and goes up to 40. Motherboard is idle at 36 and goes into the 50's and 60's(61-63) when playing a game.
Here is what I have:
MB: ASUS Z170-A
GPU: Gtx 980ti
OS: Windows 10 64-bit
CPU: i76700k
I've looked at a bunch of threads on here and other windows forums, but have not found a solution. I'm not super savvy when it comes to Computers, so feel free to explain things as if you were talking to a little kid.
Appreciate any assistance.
