Computer loose internet connection randomly

My computer looses connection to the internet randomly, it will go on and off for about a minute and then go back to normal for the night or even 2 to 3 days. When it does that, the windows diagnostic says "please connect an ethernet cable". I upgraded my motherboard killer network drivers. It's an MSI Gaming 5 z97. What should I troubleshoot next? It is so random. It does not happen to other devices in the house (other computers and phones).

Try other known working Ethernet cables on your computer.

And use the cable for more than 2 or 3 days....
