Hey folks, So I recently started getting this strange re-occurence with my pc.

Essentially, after a little bit of running i'll start hearing this particular noise, which eventually become steady and in rythm. Eventually this will lead to a crashing that states that "A Critical Process Error :(". When i go to reset the computer i'll usually get a "insert boot disk" message a couple/few times before i get it to load windows again.

Does anyone know what's going on? I was thinking of formatting everything and going with a fresh start incase a virus was messing with the registries or something, but perhaps it's the hardware itself?

Many thanks!

I had exactly the same a few months ago. It was the HD. Eventually it completely died.
