Hi!,My computer is starting to make weird noise, like knocking noise. 1st i thought that it comes from outside but then I realized that it comes from my COMPUTER! .I heard the noise 1st time today when I launched game. Before the noise, I opened case and removed video-card and cleaned all that dust from there. When the noise comes , it will do it like 5 sec then hole computer turns off . Can it be dead hard disk? Does the cleaning my computer can do something about this situation? I am from Finland so my english can be bad.

My psu is corsair cx600 and the noise is like knocking to a wood table with your fingers. not very loud noise but that loud that i thought first that it comes from outside. The noise come like every 2 seconds(I mean that when the noise comes)

Please lsit all the parts of your computer:

Processor, motherboard, graphics card, memory, storage and power supply.

From what you say I understand that this can happen multiple times. It makes a noise, then turns off. Then when you turn it on again, you can use it until the noise reappears or does the noise appear immediately and then turns off again?

Can you tell the difference between a mechanical noise and an electrical noise?

Is the sound very loud or is the knocking a softer, more polite sound?

Are there any smells (odors) when this happens?

How old is your computer? How dirty was it inside when you cleaned it out? Were there any static electricity discharges when you worked on it?

Could there be a cable getting tangles in a fan after your cleaning effort?

Now I have rebooted it and noise have not appeared yet. My pc is 4 and 1/2 years old. Here is specs:
CPU : AMD ATHLON II X4 635 3 ghz 4 core
GPU : AMD R9 270X dcii top oc
PSU : Corsair CX600
Motherboard : old acer motherboard mATX
RAM : 1333mhz ddr3 3x2 gb (6gb)
Hard disk : Western Digital 2x 750gb HDD
It was not really dirty.. There were few places where was little dust but not more ..
And I'm going to check if there is some cable struggling with fans..

there is no cable fighting with fans and no smells. There were no static electricity because I have that anti static wrist strap. It have not appeared yet so I'm going to keep using it and hoping that it will not do that ever...
