So, i overclocked my 6600k to 4.7ghz @1.4volts and i made a stability test for 12 hours and it was fine, (below 80c, no crashes or freezes)
I am now hearing a buzzing sound, sounding like electrical current or something. I think it is coming from the psu but i'm not sure. It's not from the hard drive or anything since I heard it right when i started a stress test at 4.7 ghz, i also hear it when i'm gaming so it could be the gpu.

Here is a video of what i hear, (from 0:00 to 0:11) imagine it without the base though...

My computer:
Intel core i5 6600k overclocked to 4.7 ghz
Corsair h80i AIO watercooling
Radeon R9 390 8gb stock speeds
500gb SSD (boot drive and where i store my games)
1tb hdd 7200 rpm
8gb hyperX ram
MSI pro gaming carbon z170
Corsair RM1000X 1000W power supply

Yeah but recommended maximum voltage for the average user on skylake is 1.4 volts... I mean it's stable and everything and i've great temps... Don't compare it so haswell, it's recommended maximum voltage for the average user is 1.3 volts. I've read other posts on tomshardware about overclocking and that's where i got my info from.

True... However, i did a new soundcheck and it seems to be coming from the power plug on the psu... Will still try what you said anyways and see if it goes away.

All of the internal powe conectors you mean?
Already did what you said with the external power cable...

Well that sucks. Maybe try to blow the dust out of the PSU with compressed air. Sounds like tho your either going to have to endure the sound or get a new PSU. I guess the PSU protection circuitry should protect your parts if you want to risk running at the OC.

Alright... That does suck, do you think blowing the dust out with a compressor will work? There isn't really a place for me to get compressed air on can since i live in Sweden where amazon dosen't ship... :/

Well i don't know what i did but now it's completely gone! I turned it off during the night and when i got back from school it was completely silent (apart from fan noise of course)
