Computer monitor issues!

I have several port on my computer that are a bid finicky. On my motherboard, I have one DVI, one HDMI, and one VGA port. On my GPU, I have another DVI and another HDMI. I can only use my monitor on the VGA port for my GPU. I tried using 2 monitors. I also tried to plug my current monitor in to a different port. It did not connect. Is something wrong?

Bad monitor? Bad port? Anything helps!

Did You try more than one LCD? I mean type.
