Computer Monitor

Hello,
My computer is running fine but the nonitor willk come out of standby mose, no matter if I restart the computer, move the mouse or push buttons on the keyboard...it will not come out of standby mode...the power light stays orange....this is the second time this has happened to me....is it s screen issue? Iknow that we deal with many power surges in this area...can someone share some light on my issue

Could be a dead graphics card, do you have a different computer you can test the monitor with?

Check for a loose cable.
turn the monitor off and back on and see if the display shows the turn on graphics which is built into the display. Like mine will show ACER for a second and then a box with automatic calibration (or something like that. I'm at work) If that works then at least you know the monitor isnt dead.
