Computer much slower after moving to new motherboard?

I just upgraded my CPU to a core i7 7700, so I had to install a new motherboard. I moved my Western Digital 1 TB HDD with windows 10 installed to the new system. At first attempt, I got a startup repair screen, but eventually I was able to boot successfully, though it probably took a couple minutes just to get to the log in screen.

I'm noticing the generally things seem to be slower. The couple times I've rebooted, it's still taking really long. Opening file explorer takes a few seconds, where this used to be instant on my old system. I'm now installing the drivers from the motherboard CD, which I hope fixes it. If it doesn't, what else could possibly be going on?

Old/conflicting drivers. Win 10 can install new drivers and boot up on the fly; 7 usually wouldn't. But even still, a fresh install is usually the way to go. When I switched drives between laptops, there were all kinds of disconnected/unsupported devices in device manager.
