Computer newb here with compatibility question

Good morning,
Building a first computer here. Before I make all of my orders I wanted to double check that this MOBO and RAM is compatible.

It says MOB accepts DDR3 1333 and the memory on link below is DDR3 1333 240pin so it should be compatiable, correct? I can't feel sure enough before I make my first order.

They are not compatible. The RAM you selected is Registered ECC RAM, which is used in servers. It's not compatible with consumer-grade motherboards.

Don't be afraid to go with 1600 or 1866MHz RAM by the way, it'll work fine with that motherboard.

Normal non-server RAM is more expensive I'm afraid.

What CPU will you be running, it's the MC in the CPU that will determine the freq you can run, be sort of a shame to get say 1866 only to find the CPU can only handle 1333 or 1600

AMD consumer platforms generally do support ECC RDIMMs if the motherboard manufacturer adds support for it in the firmware. Intel consumer platforms do not.
