I had a similar issue with my computer and submitted a post on it (turns out, my card died with no warning; the whole situation is resolved now and I issued an RMA)
First, double and triple check that your power switch is connected to your motherboard correctly, even if it means getting the manual for your case and for your motherboard.
Next, if you verify that your power switch is connected properly, try removing your graphics card (with the power switched off, of course) and booting your system without the card. If it boots (the fans start spinning, everything lights up, and your post speaker, which should be attached near the power pins on your motherboard, beeps), you may have a faulty graphics card on your hands.
The second step essentially describes exactly what just happened to me, and your graphics card should be covered under warranty if this is the case.
