Hello, my old system stopped working so I decided to do a mostly new build. The issue with my old system is it would turn on, but the monitor would fail to pick anything up. After doing some tests, testing my rig on a friends monitor (didn't work) and also swapping out the graphics card (still didn't work) I decided it was probably time to upgrade.
New parts:
Motherboard: ASUS MAXIMUS VII HERO DDR3 LGA 1150
Processor: Intel Core i7-4790K LGA 1150 4Ghz
RAM: Patriot Viper Black Mamba DDR3 2500mhz (2x8ghz)
Power Supply: Antec High Current Gamer M 850Watt
Old Parts:
DVD Rom Drive: Lightscribe Dvd/CD ROM Drive
HDD: Seagate Barracuda 500 gb 7500RPM HDD
Graphics card: Zotac Geforce GT440 1GB
Thermaltake Steel Armor Case
When I try starting the computer, there are no beep noises and the screen does not come on, whether the VGI is plugged into the motherboard or graphics card.
I have also tried disconnecting the hard drive, since at least the BIOS should boot, but there was nothing.
Would anyone please help me diagnose or give me tips as to how to troubleshoot?
