Hi,
So my bf's computer started continuously going into startup repair mode. Like earlier in the day it was functioning normally, it was found off and then would not start up and instead just had a startup repair loop. It's a custom build and drive is a samsung ssd. Tried normal methods like restarting, unplugging and replugging in all connections etc. Then I tried loading his ssd on my system and it didn't boot. In summary now I've taken all the files and placed them on an external and reloaded windows onto his ssd. Works normally in my system. But if i place it back into his system it becomes unbootable again and his system wont load my ssd either and when I plug mine into his system and then place it back into mine it goes into repair and then has to restart to boot.
Another issue was that when his ssd is in his system, the usbs won't power the keyboard or mouse. But this does not occur with my system.
Question is does anyone think this may be a motherboard issue? If not what other possible issues could cause this? I've never run into this kind of issue.
