I've been using an ethernet cord on my computer thats been working fine until one day my computer stopped detecting the ethernet cord. The ethernet cord still works on my xbox one however, so I figured the port on my old motherboard must of died or something, because I tried everything. Now, I have recently bought a brand new motherboard, and the ethernet cord is still not being detected by my computer, does anyone know what i can do? The cord still works on my xbox and it runs through the wall so it would be a hassle to replace.

must have :)

By everything, what did you try? I'm asking so the community doesn't end up suggesting something that you've already tried.

You might want to include your specs, like so:
CPU:
Motherboard:
Ram:
SSD/HDD:
GPU:
PSU:
Chassis:
OS:

for good measure. Include the make and model of your motherboard's past and present as well as the version of the OS you're on.
