I was trying to setup my PC after moving, and I ran into a problem

I have 1 TV and one Monitor that are connected to my PC, and that were working perfectly fine before.

I tried to reconnect them today, and they are not working.

I only have 1 HDMI Port, so I connected my TV to that as my TV does not have a VGA output. My HDMI output is coming from my GPU.

I connected my monitor to the VGA port, and this is connected directly to my motherboard, however it isnt working.

My TV is working and displaying what it should. The VGA cable is fine too, it is simply not displaying what it should.

Please help me with a solution. Thanks.

Solution

Yes, there is. As mentioned earlier - enable iGPU in BIOS (multi monitor feature) and enable both monitors in Display driver settings.

But since you can't figure it out, then get DVI-D cable. It costs less than $5.

My Graphics card is GTX 1060 from Gigabyte

You would need to use an active converter to convert the digital output from either the DP or HDMI or DVI-D port to analog VGA.

Analog signal support on all new graphics card models have been phased out by the graphics card industry.

its an acer k222hql, and it was previously connected with vga to my pc

I have one of the adapters, however it doesnt work when i try to use it.

That monitor has a DVI port so use a DVI cable from the graphics card to the monitor.

That's probably because you're using a passive DVI-I to VGA adapter. The graphics card does not have a DVI-I port, it has a DVI-D port.

But is there any way that I can solve my problem without having to spend money on adapters/cables?

As I've said in my first reply "AMD Radeon Dual Graphics only works with select AMD Radeon discrete GPUs".
